Okabe, Kosei(岡部光成). `Sangaku-zu` [Illustration of Mountains]

Okabe, Kosei. `Sangaku-zu` [Illustration of Mountains]

Detailed description of the artwork:

The face of the moon peeps out from between the mountains.
At the upper right, a certain brightness remains in the sky, perhaps suggesting that the sun has just gone down.
This is therefore an artwork which depicts the scenery of the mountains just before dark.

The mist in the forefront of the painting suggests that there is a valley below, or perhaps that the mountain is extremely high and clouds gather below its peak.

This shikishi [high quality paperboard] painting is for sale without a mounting (a mounting can be purchased separately.)

If your purchased item is applicable, we will take the necessary procedures to ensure you of a certificate. However, a fee will be required. We will inform you of the fee as it differs according to the judge, and the artist. In the case that the judge deems the artwork as forged, the fee will be paid by us.
